Where it all started
Back in 1985 at Hinton in The Hedges.
Started with a Puma Sprint G-MMSV (wonder what happened to her?).
Bought "Matilda" in 87 and finally got my PPL in 1988 at Long Marston.
1989 was posted to Canada and Matilda went with me. We moved to
The States (Nashville) in 1996.
Great flying times, but my PPL expired.
Finally home again in 1999, but the job got in the way.
Time to pack in the job, retire and start to do what I really want.
Making the dream come true
Adrian's SkyRanger Project
Jan 2005 got organised to retire 31/03/05.
Time to decide what sort of plane I want and start lessons to get my PPL back.
Paul Dewhurst had always inspected Matilda and his SkyRanger was a
delight so decision made, order placed for a 912s version, hopefully to be
delivered in time for retirement celebrations!
Colour choice was more difficult, but a look at all the pics on the various
forums helped greatly. Saw G-CUBE and thought she was a bit different, also
saw a Swedish SR with red stripe; the 2 together looked good, after some
consultation Paul agreed it could be done
Andy Buchan at Caunton was next stop to sign up for lessons.
A bit of history
A felt tip job on G-CUBE to see what mine
might look like.
Part of the fun has been building this website. Special thanks to Phil and
Jezz for both the inspiration and the help offered by their excellent site which
is well worth studying for advice
