After a few weeks not flying Val came with me
this evening for a quick flight over to Caunton.
A great evening until the rain started and we
had to depart Caunton in a hurry.

Another great couple of weeks flying. Including taking
Alison from the pub for her first flight over to Caunton.
Julie (also from the pub) came with me to Sywell the
other day. The highlight for me was the British Antarctic
Survey twin Otter taking off. It was up in about 100m.
Last night went for a jolly over to the coast with Val.
Beautiful flying along the beach. We forgot the camera
again!!

Trip to Headon tonight. Made very
welcome. Cotham powerstation which
is being dismantled made an
interesting waypoint. Val is enjoying
each flight more than the last.
Martin Mosley (who owns Headon) is
one of microlightings great
adventurers. Check out his website for
some amazing photo's; my favourite is
of him flying past Mont Blanc earlier
this year.
The new pilot's mess (above) at Sywell is a
welcome break, thanks for the coffee Julie!
Helmdon (Right)our lovely village as we turn
onto finals for Auborn International, taken by
Julie on return flight from Sywell.

Added lexan strips to seal gap between door top and wing. No more draughts MAGIC! See photo's below.

Trip down to Sywell with Phillip today to get new saddle washers fitted to fuel tank support bar and seats (hopefully the
new ones will last a bit longer). The blades were giving a display, spectacular. Very "up close and personal!" this made
it extra special and beats the Reds for a thrilling display due to close proximity of the planes. Lead pilot is Andy Offer
ex Red 1. There is some awesome video on their website The blades website

Dave at FlyLight suggested I use a product
called Compriband to seal between the
wing root and the windscreen roof.
I called Compriband and they
recommended Compriband 600 20mm.
This is an expanding foam strip used to fill
expansion gaps in buildings. What an
excellent job it has made, far better than
the regular foam strip I used before as it
has expanded to make a perfect seal.

What a great days flying!!!!
Visited The Real Aeroplane Company at Breighton with Dave NDN. Photo's above are just a few of the gems in the
hangar. visit their website click here The Real Aeroplane Company
The winterizing has worked a treat; today was freezing at 4,0000ft but we were snug with the heating on and just a
fleece on top. No need for my Ozee suit tucked away in the back just in case!
09/11/06Jonathan has
passed his 11+. So time to
take him up for a flight.
We had a great trip
around the Trent Valley.
Coming back in
Waddington held us over
Swinderby whilst an AWAC
circled overhead.
Great fun!
